Stealing to the rich to give the poor: can it be right?
Robin Hood had already given his answer.
But what happens when you do it are three priests?
A parish priest and two deputy parish priests, in a church on the far outskirts of Rome.
Three very different men, almost to the antipods, united by a vocation born along the unpredictable ways of the Lord.
Everything starts almost by chance: a silver plate, taken from impulse by Don Michele in the house of a senator.
An isolated gesture. Or at least that sounds like it.
Because from there, in a short time, it takes form a spiral of increasingly daring thefts — and less and less maldextrous — animated by a noble intent: to help families more in difficulty.
They should stop.
They should be sorry.
But for mysterious reasons — perhaps not too much — do not succeed.
And while internal tensions grow and external pressures are getting stronger, the game gets complicated.
Until the fall is inevitable.
In the end, however, this is a story of friendship and madness.
A story that, in his own way, concerns all of us.
