    Description

The international cinema of Antonello Novellino returns to Salerno: an exceptional retrospective celebrates the director and producer appointed to the Goya Awards 2026.

After the preview in Buccino (9 July), the great independent and international cinematography stops in the capital.

Friday, July 10, 2026, from 19.00, the Sala Pasolini of Salerno (Piazza della Libertà, Lungomare Trieste) will host the retrospective wait dedicated to Antonello Novellino, director, producer and production director of Salerno, for years active in the international field between Spain, South America, United States.

The event is a unique opportunity to honor one of the most versatile and award-winning voices of the contemporary cinema scene. Reduce from the prestigious nomination Goya 2026 for the Best Production Direction thanks to the film “Ciudad sin sueño” (City without sleep), Novellino returns to his native land for a deep dialogue with the public and criticism.

His candidacy for the “Spanish Oscars” crowned almost twenty years of international career, distinguishing himself for coordinating a complex film set within the Cañada Real in Madrid in conditions of extreme social vulnerability.

    The evening programme

19.00 – Opening of the event and reception at the Sala Pasolini.

To follow – Exclusive interviews, screenings of significant extracts from his extensive filmography (which boasts iconic works such as the Blue Lips choral feature film and the War documentary), and a direct debate with the director present in the room.

The shorts will be projected “Actos por partes” and “Marselo“, trailer of the Docufiction “Tirrenica” and the movie “♪“.
