Guided tour and walk in the historic centre

“Dotti, doctors and… patients” is a multi-step journey to discover the glorious history of the Salernitana Medical School. The first appointment includes a guided tour of the virtual museum located in the heart of Via dei Mercanti where the glorious past of the Salernitana Medical School will be re-elected, built in the 9th-X century under the Lombard dominion.

The School was the first and most important European medical institution in the Middle Ages and is considered by many as the ancestor of modern universities. After the visit to the museum the guide will lead the group through the streets of the historical center to arrive at the Museum of Medicine Roberto Papi at the Palazzo Galdieri, where the theatrical visit to the museum is planned.
