When the wife is on holiday

Review “Certi sguardi – Il cinema rediscoverto – vol. 4”

At the Piccolo Teatro Porta Catena continues “Certi sguardi – vol.4”, the exhibition promoted byArci Salernoand realized in collaboration withCineteca di Bologna, as part of the activities ofHub Largo Campo del Comune di Salerno.

Second appointment scheduled for Thursday 15 October with “When the wife is on holiday“: an absolute masterpiece of Hollywood comedy, directed in 1955 by Billy Wilder.

The film sees Marilyn Monroe as a seductive and carefree neighbor who puts hard evidence of the marital fidelity of a quiet publisher who remained only in the city for the summer, giving us scenes indelible entry into the history of cinema – on all, the iconic one of the white dress raised by the vent of the subway.

As with tradition for the evenings of “Certi sguardi”, the projection will be followed by a moment of deepening and debate curated byFitzcarraldo Cineclub.

The appointment is therefore for Thursday 15 October at 20:30.

The entrance is as always free until the seats are exhausted.
