In the opening of the second edition of the Coniugare il teatro – Scena Immersiva, between the interior and the exterior of the Teatro Pier Paolo Pasolini in Salerno, Sunday 18 October at 11 am the Teatro Pubblico Campano proposes a collective choreographic action conducted by dancer and choreographer Anna Basti.

Graduated at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, he is the creator of the itinerant design format Le classeque c’est chic!, a research path born in 2019 with the aim of decolonizing the imagination of classical technique and providing tools of understanding and reappropriation of his body.

Lessons for non-professionals (débutants) are the heart of this design. The presence of the bodies regains and resigns urban public space, subverting the exclusionary and normative principle that classical dance imposes in its academic dimension. The class, without mirrors, bars, tips and rigid codes, is open to all people who want to play for about an hour and a half. It is thought especially for those who never danced. It is therefore extremely simplified and uses a wide spectrum of sound to support body work: from soul music, to pop, to electronics. To participate, therefore, no prior experience is necessary and do not count the predisposition, age or physical form.

And for the outfit it is all right: suits, tutulettes or simply comfortable clothing and shoes. The important thing is to feel comfortable in movement.
