On the facade of Santa Sofia, few lines of light collect the closeness between a mother and her child. Eduardo Giannattasio entrusts to an essential sign the strength of an image that belongs to the memory of Christmas. Around, the dark leaves room to the outline of the figures and allows the gaze to rest on their bond. In the square, the time of the walk can become a moment of recollection. The tenderness of that presence is offered to those who arrive, with the intimacy of a gesture recognizable even from afar.
Technical characteristics
The work measures 10,5 meters wide and 7 meters high. On a black canvas background, an aluminum frame supports cold white LED tubes and red microlights. The contrast with the background highlights the design of the figures on the facade of the monumental complex.
