Small singers in an exciting training experience

The Choir of Bianche Voices of the Verdi Theatre of Salerno was born in 2000.
It consists of about 60 children from Salerno and the province who meet weekly to study music, vocality and repertoire using a valuable educational, cultural and musical opportunity. The Choir regularly participated in opera productions and concert activities of the Teatro “Giuseppe Verdi” in Salerno. Among these we remember: La Bohème, Edgar and Tosca by Giacomo Puccini, Carmen by Bizet, Pagliacci by Mascagni and Werther by Massenet. The Choir has participated in numerous events distinguishing itself also outside the city, in the productions Hänsel und Gretel and Carmina Burana at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples. In December 2008 the Choir participated in the realization of Nativitas oratorio di Gaetano Panariello performed in Naples and Pompeii, in September 2009 he performed in Positano in the show I want to be free tribute to Rudolf Nureyev, and on December 25, 2009 he was the protagonist of the Christmas concert of the Teatro “Giuseppe Verdi” in Salerno. In 2010 in addition to concerts and events, the Choir was engaged at the Massimo Salernitano for two important exhibitions: Carmen di Bizet (direction Gigi Proietti) and Alwolf, wolf! work for children with music by Gaetano Panariello. In 2011, under the orchestral direction of M° Daniel Oren, the young singers performed in the operas Tosca and Pagliacci and Carmina Burana. 2012 was a year full of commitments for the Choir of Voci Bianche: he performed in concert at the Municipal Theatre “Giuseppe Verdi” of Salerno, on the occasion of the “World Day against Racism”, and in the opera La Gioconda di Ponchielli; he participated, at the Church of San Giorgio in Salerno, at the Easter Concert; and sang – in Salerno Monument of the fifth edition Arts of May- at the concert at the In 2013 the Choir performed in concert on the occasion of the Memory Day and participated in the Otello opera performances by Verdi and the Bohème by Puccini. In the years 2014, 2015 and 2016 participated in the works Turandot Carmen Bohème Pagliacci and Tosca and the Christmas concerts at the Teatro Verdi. In the year 2017 he participated in the Concerto dell’Epifania at the Sanctuary Maria S.S. del Carmine in Salerno, at the opera Carmen at the theater “Giuseppe Verdi”, and – with the Chorus of Voci Bianche of the Teatro di San Carlo – he was protagonist of the colossal concert Carmina Burana staged at the Royal Palace of Caserta in the context of the event “Aestate da re”.
