V Edition The color of the sounds
music review from the territory – preview part first
Artistic direction Giuseppe Zinicola with the collaboration of Franco Tiano
The Pier Paolo Pasolini Theatre in Salerno hosts the fifth edition of “The color of the sounds“, an artistic project of the Teatro Pubblico Campano curated by Giuseppe Zinicola with the collaboration of Franco Tiano.
To preview this showcase, dedicated to music from the territory and to international sound contaminations, the day 17 October at 21 will be theRoberto Tarenzi trio.
On the stage of the Pasolini will perform Roberto Tarenzi on the piano, Dario Deidda on the acoustic bass and Roberto Pistolesi on the battery. Three rare gems, three musicians in love with improvisation and three hundred and sixty-degree music that will read some pages of the great American songbook, exploring original compositions in a tribute to the legendary pianist Ahmad Jamal.
As far away from the classic “nostalgia-copy” operation, the trio will capture Jamal’s quintessential spirit, taking unexpected paths.
Only place 15 euros.
Tickets for sale on Vivaticket or at the Teatro Verdi in Salerno.
Info at 089662141 (from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00).
The artists
Roberto Pistolesi (drums) collaborated with some of the best musicians of the international scene, such as Dave Binney, Jasper Blom, Ben Van Gelder, Stefano Di Battista.
