Salerno Design Week 2026

From 16 to 20 September returns the “Salerno Design Week, after the great success of the previous edition.

The Salerno Design Week is a bold manifesto of cultural, artistic, economic and social rebirth promoted by Confindustria Salerno, with the aim to stimulate greater awareness towards our civic and environmental heritage and to support shared projects of urban regeneration in Salerno and its province, up to the valorization of its beautiful villages, through design and art, with an inclusive, integrated and responsible approach.

The objectives of Salerno Design Week are summarized in the key points of its manifesto:

– valorization of the local manufacturing sector, with a particular focus on the excellence of the Salernitano Design;

– urban regeneration, projects capable of transforming degraded areas and disused into aggregation and beauty spaces;

– the growth of awareness of active citizenship, involving universities, communities and enterprises in preserving and promoting the culture of enterprise and design, with particular attention to the new generations, starting with the younger ones;

– tourist promotion and attractiveness of the territory, thanks to international exhibitions, cultural events and collaborations with leading artists to seasonalize the tourist flows that focus in a few periods of the year.

– September 16, 17.30, Museo Virtuale Scuola Medica Salernitana: inauguration of the exhibition “Contemporary alchemy“;

– 16 September, 18.00, Diocesan Museum: opening exhibition “The sign that becomes legend“;

– 16 September, 18.30, Archaeological Museum: Filigrane of Alkyimia;

– 16 September, 19.00, Pinacoteca provinciale: SDW opening ceremony, opening of the exhibition “Pottergeist”, guest Giorgetto Giugiaro;

– 16 September, 21.00, Solarium Santa Teresa: Music on The BeachMartucci Pop Ensemble;

– 17 September, 09.00, Sala Pasolini: screening of the short film “Trotula and the wind path“;

– 17 September, 19.00, Piazza di Marina d’Arechi: installation opera “In the wind“;
