Grand final on 18 July with Ema Stokholma and Gino Castaldo in the challenge '80 vs. ’90

    FESTIVAL OF MEDITERRANEAN COLLINES 2026 – VII EDITION
    23 June – 18 July 2026 · Anfiteatro Tenuta dei Normanni, Salerno (via Giovi Bottiglieri, 64)

    Eight events with an alternation of music, theatre, books, culture and comparison on topics of great relevance. Promoted by the cultural association “Do.Po.” and the Norman estate, with the artistic direction of journalist Eduardo Scotti.

    Between CANZONS and POESIA – IVANO FOSSATI
    Canta Pierdavide Carone with Martina Attili

    Pierdavide Carone pays tribute to Ivano Fossati, one of the giants of Italian music. Artist known for his ability to write and interpretative intensity since his debut in Sanremo with Nanì (written with Lucio Dalla), he faces the challenge of reinterpreting Fossati’s musical heritage. On her side, singer-songwriter Martina Attili, intimate and introspective voice, noted for the participation in X Factor in 2018, and the band (acoustic guitar, drums, bass, piano and keyboards). A path through Fossati’s “words and music”, exploring the complexity of the human soul, travel and freedom.

    TEATRO – “EDIPO RE” by Sofocle
    Directed by Andrea Carraro · Introduced by Ida Lenza

    The arena of the estate is transformed into an ancient Greek scene to welcome the masterpiece of classical tragedy. The director is by Andrea Carraro, a prominent figure of the theatrical panorama of Salento and national. The evening will be introduced by Professor Ida Lenza, head of the classical High School Rate of Salerno, who will offer the public the keys to reading to enter into the folds of the tragedy. A work that continues to question us about guilt, truth and blindness.

    VI RACCONTO LA MAFIA – Meeting with Nicola Gratteri
    Interview by Lucia Serino · Readings by Gaetano Fasanaro

    Nicola Gratteri, Procurator of the Republic of Naples, is the protagonist of the evening. The interview conducted by journalist Lucia Serino will guide the public through the themes of contrast to organized crime, marked by Gaetano Fasanaro’s theatrical readings. Central moment of the evening: the presentation Like roots. A story about second chances, last novel for boys written by Gratteri along with Antonio Nicaso (Mondadori), which tells the encounter between a retired judge and a group of boys with a difficult past.

    VOCI AUTORE – Ornella Vanoni and Gino Paoli
    Nicky Nicolai and Massimo De Divitiis · Department of Jazz and Pop Performance of the Conservatory G. Martucci of Salerno

    A tribute to the two most poetic and iconic souls of the Italian song, through an interpretive path that interweaves tradition, contemporary rereading and dialogue between generations. The project was created within the Department of Jazz Music and Pop Performance of the Conservatory “G. Martucci” and involves teachers and students in one ensemble. Voices and instruments will alternate in solo, as a whole and in duo, in dynamic formations that change the track.

    Sue Song · Bach, Chopin, Debussy, Grieg

    Korean birth and American adoption, Sue Song enchanted the audience of Carnegie Hall in New York and the world’s most prestigious stages. Its style combines technical brilliance and deep poetic sensitivity. The program will touch Bach’s rigour and sacredness, Mozart’s formal elegance, Chopin’s lyricism, Debussy’s unique nuances and Grieg’s suggestive Nordic atmospheres, ranging from the great classical repertoire to original compositions.

    Department of Jazz and Pop Performance of the Conservatory G. Martucci of Salerno · Norman Prize
    Three distinct moments for an evening with teachers and students of the “G. Martucci” Conservatory:

    Tribute for Michel — Tribute to Michel Petrucciani between Mediterranean lyricism, interplay and improvising freedom. Line-up: Vincenzo Danise (piano), Dario Deidda (bass), Angelo De Luna (percussion), Giacinto Piracci (guitar).

    The Quincyessence — Tribute to Quincy Jones through Jazz, Pop, Soul and crossover sounds. Line-up: Emilia Zamuner, Roberta Amanda D’Agosto, Mario Sacchettino (voice), Mirko Di Donna (drums), Guglielmo Guglielmi (piano), Domenico Margiotta (keyboard), Pierfrancesco Valente (sax tenor), Aldo Vigorito (contrabbasso).

    The Sound of the City — Naples narrated through jazz, Neapolitan song and Mediterranean sounds. Line-up: Marco Zurzolo (sax contralto), Vincenzo Ciardi (bass), Biagio Fronda (guitar), Luigi Di Gennaro (piano), Anastasia Pacilio (voce), Orazio Ricca (drums), Esteban Jose Ojeda (violino).
    During the evening will be awarded the “Il Normanno” Award to Andrea Prete (President Unioncamere Nazionale and Chamber of Commerce of Salerno) and to Fulvio Artiano (director of the Conservatory G. Martucci).

    OLTREPASSARE – FISARMONICA AND INCANTI
    Pietro Roffi in concert

    Defined by the Award Oscar Dario Marianelli, a musician with “poetic and refined expression, able to make his instrument sing”, Pietro Roffi is a virtuoso and innovator who played at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Tonhalle in Zurich and the Filarmonica in Munich. His solo project Beyond puts the accordion in dialogue with electronics, in a balance between acoustics and space, between classical roots and contemporary visions. Is the sound signature of sound columns like the Pinocchio by Matteo Garrone and Name of Woman by Marco Tullio Giordana. His debut album 1999 won the Orpheus Award as the best Italian accordion record.

    Ema Stokholma and Gino Castaldo

    Great final of the Festival: a cultural duel between the two decades that shaped our identity. On the one hand the consolle of Ema Stokholma, paladina of the nineties; on the other the leggio of Gino Castaldo, historical musical critic and defender of the eighties. Not only music: we will talk about the fall of the Berlin Wall, the advent of Macintosh, Prince and Springsteen, mixing films, art and gadgets of the time. A large central screen with videos and vintage photos will accompany the exciting rhythm of the evening. The final word is for the public, who will vote for the winning decade.
