On June 25, the natural setting of the arena of Tenuta Dei Normanni, which recalls the majesty of stone theatres, will turn into an ancient Greek scene to welcome the absolute masterpiece of classical tragedy, the Edipo King of Sofocle.

The public will be transported to the heart of the myth, where fate and human will collide inexorably. A work that continues to question us about guilt, truth and blindness.

The direction is entrusted to Andrea Carraro, able to dig in the ancient text, returning all the contemporary force. The evening will be introduced by Professor Ida Lenza, head of the Liceo Classico T. Tasso Salerno, who will offer the public the necessary reading keys to enter into the folds of the tragedy.
