Cathedral of San Matteo – Cathedral of Salerno Churches and Monasteries Duomo, Salerno, ItaliaTutti
Arcidiocesi Salerno – Campagna – Acerno
Dear Faithful,
We wish to celebrate our great patron saint, Saint Matthew—“God’s gift” to all humanity—with a renewed commitment to faith and fraternal joy. Salerno has the unique privilege of housing his remains. Together with our pastor Andrea and the entire city and diocesan community, we wish to honor the Holiness of God, which is wonderfully expressed in the lives of Saint Matthew, Saint Joseph, Saint Gregory VII, and the Holy Martyrs of Salerno. This is the profound meaning of popular piety, which we wish to manifest today through dignified, passionate, and fruitful participation in the many religious and civic events in our wonderful Cathedral, a home for all.
