Teatro Verdi – Opera and Ballet Season 2026

The Lirica and Ballet Season 2026 will be held in baptism, as usual in April 16/19, by the Verdian masterpiece will be The Cheleberrima Opera Founder which was first performed on 19 January 1853 at the Apollo Theatre of Rome. Together with Rigoletto and La traviata is part of the so-called popular trilogy. The libretto, in four parts and eight paintings, was taken from the drama El Trovador by Antonio García Gutiérrez. Verdi himself had the idea of obtaining a work from the drama of Gutiérrez, commissioning to Salvadore Cammarano the librettist reduction. .
