The words of the children rise above the streets and ask adults the time to read them. A child and a child support every sentence, giving a symbolic face to the voices of the pupils of the primary schools of Salerno. The work of Roberto Castaldo brings in public space thoughts born between the benches and entrusts them to light. Passers can meet a phrase, stop on its meaning and continue to think about it even later. The route becomes an opportunity to listen to the little ones, letting their gaze find place in the story of the city.
Technical characteristics
The installation consists of 24 suspended elements, each about 6.3 meters wide and 1,6 high. Each element presents the silhouettes of a child and a child who supports a panel with a luminous phrase. The texts were conceived by the pupils of primary schools and are part of the composition of the work.
