A body relies on the vacuum and remains suspended at the moment of dive. Sergio Vecchio takes the image of the Tomb of the Paestum Tuffator and the door in the light, near the sea of Salerno. The gesture comes from a distant past, but its tension remains immediate: the momentum, detachment, waiting for water. Looking at it, we follow a movement that the work holds and that each completes within itself. The evening landscape becomes the space in which to meet that ancient figure and to recognize, once again, the desire to let go.
Technical characteristics
The installation has an aluminium profile structure. The bright design is made with warm white, blue and red LED tubes, which translate into the night scene the figure inspired by the image of Paestum.
