Il Mito – Nello Ferrigno – 2011

The signs of Nello Ferrigno take the call of myths into the streets, letting the colors reopen the story. The bright contours are flanked, intensified and found in the reflections of the materials other shades to follow. The figures offer themselves to the gaze as presences of an imagined memory, in which everyone can look for a story. Along Via Diaz, Via Manzo and Via Quaranta, the work accompanies the walk with the rhythm of its panels. The Myth thus remains an open narrative, entrusted to the encounter between the artist’s design and the curiosity of passersby.

Technical characteristics

The work includes 25 panels of about 2 meters wide and 3 meters high. LED tubes arranged in double stretch, even with different colors flanked, define the figures. Intermittent microphones fill some parts, while colored Plexiglas inserts enrich the composition.
